VOLUNTEER
Our parent community of volunteers help make Discovery the special place that it is. Students love to see their parents be involved. And research has shown positive correlations between student engagement and parent volunteering in the school or classroom.
Parents are encouraged to volunteer as their schedules permit, even if it’s just for a few hours each month or year. The first step is to submit a volunteer background check application through the Peninsula School District. Once approved, you may sign up for volunteer opportunities posted on the VPO’s SignUp.com page.
New opportunities will be posted at Discovery's SignUp.com page and will be posted in Discovery Elementary's ParentSquare weekly newsletter emails.
